The new Pro Road Tour of USA Cycling started in Anniston, Alabama, at Sunny King Classic that had a criterium on Saturday as well as a road race on Sunday.
After the events this weekend, Oscar Clark and Jessica Prinner lead the men’s as well as women’s list respectively.
In a team press release, Prinner told that this has always been a great feeling to have the first race weekend under your kitty, and even better to have a victory. There are still a whole lot of races yet on the calendar but to have an early lead in the USAC Pro Road Tour is a real bonus. What matters is that they executed as a team that would be a major strength for them down the road. On Saturday, at the Sunny King Criterium, Travis McCabe won the men’s race in a bunch sprint ahead of Michael Hernandez and Aldo Ino Ilesic.
Samantha Schneider won the women’s race by 1 second passing of Sarah Fader and her sister Skylar Schneider. Jessica Prinner, the Rally Cycling’s new recruit, soloed to win ahead of Jessica Mundy in 2nd and Jamie Gilgen in 3rd.
Now, Oscar leads the men’s Pro Road Tour list with forty points and Prinner leads the women’s list with forty-two points. Pro Road Tour will go on at Redlands Bicycle Classic starting on 6th April in California.
